Science World '88
1988. What a year. A little group called Salt N Pepa taught us how to "Push It," TV shows like "Cheers" and "The Golden Girls" kept us laughing, and a short man with bushy eyebrows got laughed at for putting on an oversized protective helmet and driving a tank around during his bid for the White House. Meanwhile, on Pigeon Lake in rural northern Wisconsin, a selective group of teenagers spent two weeks learning about Science... and so much more.

Hi Everyone!
Here I am, Carolyn Anderson (Stanley) what an exciting blog! I am very pregnant at the moment just a couple months to go. My husband and I live in Tucson, Arizona. I used to work at the University as counselor at the disability center but now I am working on being a full time mom. There's more info about me online at my website www.disabilitystudies.com/anderson.htm I publish an online magazine although it hasn't been updated for awhile.
I was paralysed in car accident in 1991 a couple summers after science world- that's why I am photographed in a wheelchair in the pictures (for those I haven't talked to in 13 years), that was a lifetime ago it seems. Mostly the past 16 years I have been going to school, traveling, working, and being happily married and waiting for this baby to arrive so I could enter in mommyhood.
I have some more science world photos to share if I can figure out how to post them. I would love to hear from some of you. Thanks for putting this site up Lisa and Andy!
Carolyn
